Prime Music Journal

Editorial policy

Prime Music Journal aims to make music easier to notice and discuss. We value accurate explanations, clear distinctions between fact and interpretation, and open correction when something needs changing.

Accuracy and clarity

We check factual statements against reliable material suited to the topic and take care with musical terminology, names and historical context. Writers should explain uncertainty where it matters, avoid presenting a personal reading as settled fact, and make claims precise enough for readers to assess.

Independence

Editorial decisions are made for readers, not as a condition of a commercial arrangement. A partner cannot require favorable coverage or control an independent article. We do not promise coverage in return for payment, access or a collaboration.

Corrections

If you spot an error, contact us with the article title and the detail in question. We review correction requests and make appropriate changes with a clear note when the change materially affects the piece. A correction is not a substitute for explaining a disputed interpretation.

Partner material and illustrations

Paid, supplied or otherwise partner-supported material is identified clearly where it appears, so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; those images are treated as illustrations, not evidence, and are labelled where relevant.

Our listening point

Every sound is a choice worth hearing.

We look at music with curiosity rather than a scorecard, noticing how small decisions can change the whole listening experience.
